DESCRIPTION:Come join us on July 16\, at 5 pm as we support local mixed martial arts fighter Cody Law as he looks to lengthen his 3-0-0 win streak against Theodore Macuka! \nLaw\, a Forest Hills native got his start wrestling for the Forest Hills High school wrestling team. Upon graduation\, Law attended Pennsylvania State University\, which is known for having one of the most successful wrestling teams at the time\, having won the NCAA Division I’s team titles in the last three seasons at that time. \nAs a junior\, he became the top-ranked wrestler in the country and posted a record of 17-1 during the regular season. During the post-season\, he won a PSAC conference title and became an All-American with a fourth-place finish at the NCAA DII championships. As a senior\, he had his most successful season\, compiling a record of 25 wins and 2 losses (both of those losses to Division I athletes)\, winning the National Championship\, and becoming a two-time All-American. \nLaw began his amateur MMA career a couple of months after he graduated from UPJ and amassed a 5-0 record with three stoppage wins (two submissions\, one knockout) and two decisions. On September 1\, 2020\, Law announced that he had signed a contract with Bellator MMA. \nABOUT EVENT \n\nThe fight is free to attend\, open to the public and will be viewed on the scoreboard! More than 2000 metal studs are added to the bikes’ tires and there are no brakes\, making this the fastest sport on ice and one of the fastest sports in the world. \n“We’ll sell you the seat\, but you’ll only use the edge of it\,” says Anthony Barlow of XIIR. Barlow\, known as The British Bulldog\, is a seven-time world champion racer and owner of XIIR who lives in the St. Louis area. \nThe rush of so much power and speed on a surface as unpredictable as ice has whipped audiences into a frenzy and gained new fans across the country. Fans aren’t fooled by the appearance of the speedway bikes competing in this race. They are more than just mountain bikes with engines. They are equivalent to a 1200 cc crotch rocket engine in a mountain bike frame —  a 4-stroke\, 4-valve engine that runs on nitro methanol. This allows the engine to run at a higher compression\, producing more horsepower. \nThe average family car has a maximum 8\,000 revs where as an ice speedway bike has a maximum 14\,000 revs. Four laps on a speedway bike compares to 10 minutes on a motocross bike. The power (90 horse power at the back wheel) to weight ratio (the bikes weigh only 180 pounds) is something that cannot be explained. Each rider gears his bike differently with 60 to 80 toothed sprockets\, which are nearly the size of the wheel itself. \nThere will be a total of twenty to twenty-five races\, consisting of heats where riders earn points to qualify for the Main Final Race. Heats consist of four riders racing handlebar-to-handlebar for four laps. DESCRIPTION:1ST SUMMIT ARENA @ Cambria County War Memorial is excited to bring basketball back to the arena! More than 2000 metal studs are added to the bikes’ tires and there are no brakes\, making this the fastest sport on ice and one of the fastest sports in the world. \n“We’ll sell you the seat\, but you’ll only use the edge of it\,” says Anthony Barlow of XIIR. Barlow\, known as The British Bulldog\, is a seven-time world champion racer and owner of XIIR who lives in the St. Louis area. \nThe rush of so much power and speed on a surface as unpredictable as ice has whipped audiences into a frenzy and gained new fans across the country. Fans aren’t fooled by the appearance of the speedway bikes competing in this race. They are more than just mountain bikes with engines. They are equivalent to a 1200 cc crotch rocket engine in a mountain bike frame —  a 4-stroke\, 4-valve engine that runs on nitro methanol. This allows the engine to run at a higher compression\, producing more horsepower. \nThe average family car has a maximum 8\,000 revs where as an ice speedway bike has a maximum 14\,000 revs. Four laps on a speedway bike compares to 10 minutes on a motocross bike. The power (90 horse power at the back wheel) to weight ratio (the bikes weigh only 180 pounds) is something that cannot be explained. Each rider gears his bike differently with 60 to 80 toothed sprockets\, which are nearly the size of the wheel itself. \nThere will be a total of twenty to twenty-five races\, consisting of heats where riders earn points to qualify for the Main Final Race. Heats consist of four riders racing handlebar-to-handlebar for four laps. He teaches the fundamentals on what each player needs to do to become a better hockey player. The kids will learn the same drills\, routines\, and tips from the best hockey players in the world – including\, Sidney Crosby\, Evgeni Malkin\, John Tavaras\, Joe Thorton\, Brent Burns\, and many more.
